Hiking

Our hotel is situated in the middle of a high altitude valley. It is surrounded by mountains and thereby perfect for daily hiking tours. Based from Mauterndorf and its embeding valley of the "Taurach" river a huge amount of valleys radiate into the northern "Niedere Tauern" mountain range. Enjoy the clean air and the natural kept rivers along your way to the top.

The well developed bike lane network through the region gets you everywhere. Flat ways to relax as well as forrest trails and steep roads on mountain slopes for the thrill seeking biker await you. Bikes can be rented in the area as well as their electric supported versions.

Mountain lakes

Enter a different world just by hiking a few meters up the mountains and achieve a new view on the area. The major part of the landscape is untouched by civilisation and offers a lots of beautiful placs. The last ice age tranformed the mountains and left a huge amount of lakes. Easily reached this water reservoirs will surprise you with their different shades of blue. Each one is different in shape and color. For brave swimmers they also offer a nice refresh.
